These homophone worksheets are perfect for Year 3 students and meets ACARA outcome: ACELA1486 – Recognise and know how to write most high frequency words including some homophones.
Activity 3 includes 5 worksheets in total. Three worksheets require students to look at various images and choose the correct word that matches the picture. Two worksheets require students to fill in the blank spaces in a sentence with the correct homophone and choose the correct picture that matches the sentence. A great way for students to drawing on meaning and context to spell one- and two-syllable homophones, for example ‘break’ or ‘brake’ and ‘ate’ or ‘eight’.
