Women in the Early Workforce & Feminism

 

These resources are marvellous for Stage 3 and high school History lessons that focus on Australia as a Nation. The PowerPoint slides allow students to discuss and analyse various historical sources about womens working rights and personal expectations prior to World War I in 1914.

The PowerPoint slides contain factual statistics about men vs women pay rates and experiences that highlight the importance of human rights for all individuals in Australia. The corresponding worksheet provides factual details, dates and statistics about women’s struggle for equal employment rights leading to inequality in the workforce.
